Hi Dave
Depends on the quality you are looking for, but would avoid the cheap ones on ebay I have tried one and found it pretty useless, the best I have seen are Sony VCL1758 ( x1.7 ) or the Raynox 2025 ( x2.2 ) results I have seen have been very good but be aware you will probably need to use a tripod for stability and they are not cheap but guess you get what you pay for.

Hi,
I use a Raynox 1.54x on mine and it works just fine.
These were taken with it - either with a monopod or handheld (the swan!)

I use an Olympus TCON17 with mine, needs a 58-55mm ring adapter though.

I beleive the Panasonic also has a filter thread too. The one thing that is missing from the Panasonic converter.
I would have to buy a push on filter holder to be able to attach a Polorizer.
On hindsight, I would have bought the Olypus model instead.
