The cricket season's back!!
The cricket season's back... sorry for those non bat/ball lovers - for those that do, here's a few fromBlackpool v Barrow at Stanley Park, Blackpool.
Not many words today.

Not the most elegant shot, but look at Greg in the background...

A 50 for Lee on his way to a match winning 85

Lofted drive from George

Lee scored his 85 from 88 balls, 10 x 4's and 2 x 6.

Hard work in the field for the Blackpool fielders

Darn the slow auto focus - but you get the idea :-)

Young Master A at the crease.

Time for the long handle from Tom at the end of the innings.
For the record, barrow won by 120 runs. We made 212 from our 50 overs - Lee 85, Toby 35 the author just 18...
We bowled Blackpool out for just 92, Patrick Allington getting 6-24 with his off spin.
Two wins out of two and joint top of the table. Not bad for a team who average 21 yrs old (minus the ancient skipper!!)
Promise there won't be too many of these this season

Hi Ian. Interesting photoblog with great action shots. It always amazes me why cricketers wear white and when they rub the red ball up and down their white trousers, the red dye colour stains. How does Lesley cope with that washing? LOL! I used to watch a bit of cricket once upon a time. It was fine on a hot sunny day with a good picnic, bit of bubbly and sun lotion to hand. LOL! Thanks for sharing and thanks for your lovely compliment on my latest photoblog. Alison's Profile Photoblog http://www.myfinepix.co.uk/blog/77182/462623
