Wild Flowers in the Cornish Landscape
I seem to have amassed quite a few on this subject.......

I'll try and present them roughly in seasonal order....

Snowdrops at the Friends' Meeting House, one of (if not the) earliest Quaker meeting houses built 1710.

Blackthorn, a welcome sign of Spring.

A gap in the blackthorn hedge.

March celandines.

Primroses in St. Euny churchyard, Redruth.

Cowslip path to Godrevy.

....and at Polly Joke, near Newquay.

Path through the bluebells.

English bluebell (beware the Spanish intruders, with flowers on all sides of stem.)

Violets.

Cornish hedgerow.

Bluebells and campions at the ancient burial cyst named Lanyon Quoit.

Lords and Ladies.

Whoops, I left out this blackthorn shot taken at Penberth Cove.

Bladder campion on the cliffs.

Convolvulous.

Summer field.

Sea pinks and sheep's bit scabious at Hell's Mouth.

Sea pinks and campion at The Crowns tin mine engine houses, West Cornwall.

Along the Zennor road at dusk.

Godrevy headland.

Cow parsley overlooking ancient fields in far West Cornwall.

Sea pinks at Godrevy.

Bramble flower and vetch.

Wild irises around a pool.

Sea Holly.

Three-cornered leeks overlooking Portreath beach.

Keep meaning to look these tiny pink flowers up...

Convolvulous.

Valarian.

Foxgloves.

Speedwell.

....with a meadow orchid.

Overlooking St. Michael's Mount. (stitchwort?)

A damp evening. I remember a cuckoo calling. Isolated. Wonderful.

Thyme.

Colt'sfoot?

Corn marigolds.

More thyme. Chapel Porth, near St.Agnes.

Viper's Bugloss.
The End.
You've been spared more because I had technical trouble getting them on and had to stop.

Thyme, bird's foot trefoil, and little white things!

Overlooking Fisherman's Cove.

Teasels at dawn.

Birdsfoot Trefoil.

Field of charnock, overlooking Crantock Bay.

Same field, with poppies.

Poppies and distant corn marigolds at West Pentire.

Oriental poppies on the golf links at Lelant.

Evening primrose.

Marguerites.

Mixed summer flowers at Cornish tin mine.

Sparkly grasses.

Walking through the morning dew.

Mallow overlooking St. Ives bay.

Monbretia growing on the North Cliffs.

...and in the lane.

Heather on Carn Brea, near Redruth.

This windblown hawthorn bush looked amazing.

Ending with a Cornish sunset, with gorse.
Thanks for looking at some of my treasures.
