Saturday 2nd June we had a four day break to see the arraival of Cunards Three Queens into Southampton for the first time on Tuesday 5th,mean while we had a look on Sat to see what was in, we stayed in a hotel in Hayling Island and this blog is the first two days the one for Cunard will follow shortly

Independance Of The Seas two hrs before she sails154,407 tons,1,112ft long,184ft wide,15 decks high speed 21.6 knots from Southampton we went to Calshot Castle as they are very close there

Next one out was the Grand Princess,109,000tons,151ft long,118ft wide,speed 22,knots

Motor yacht Seafin available for private charter

Next one was Aurora,76,152 tons,885ft long,105ftwide,10 decks high,speed 24knots,due to be scrapped this year to make way for a new ship

Sunday called in Southampton to see some more just caught Ventura leaving only photo i managed to get 116,017tons,length956ft,width118ft,decks19,speed27.7knots

Oceana was the next one we saw 77,017tons,857.3ft long,115.8ft wide,11decks,speed 21knots

Severn Seas Voyager a small one at 42,363tons, 670ft long,94.5ft wide,12decks,speed20 knots

Severn Seas Voyager for some reason it needed a tug to get it away from the quay you can see the tug going back to its berth

Great blog for the ship lovers Martin. They really are huge. We stood almost next to Oceana once, and passed it while crossing the Solent on another occasion. But my favourite pic has to be the sunset.Thanks for sharing.
