I am trying to get my head around macro. I get as close as I can to the subject, spider or flower, but the picture is never as close as the ones I see on this site...Where am I going wrong?
Hi its my finepix s1730 am having problems with! It turns on, let's you take a photo, then the green light turns/flashes Orange and won't display the photo and the lcd/camera becomes unresponsive and you have to remove the batteries and turn it back on, upon turn on the previous photo hasn't been saved. Unsure why the fault is there,

I have just upgraded my 2.5 year-old HS10 to an HS50EXR, and wondered if other users had any comparisons. A have a few, as follows. First though, I just have to say how much I loved the HS10. I always enjoyed using it and had some fantastic results. I have just sold it on eBay, and am slightly disappointed at the very low price it went for, but hey, now someone else gets the chance to have it, and I'm sure they'll love it to. As for the HS50 - well, I know I'm going to love it even more than the HS10. It is truly wonderful:
Hi, thought I would try here before I take the camera to the local camera shop.
I have the Fuji S2950 which I have had for over 2 years now. Now the flash has stopped working. All I have is the no flash icon top left on the screen.
The flash is flipped up but the camera doesnt recognise it. Nothing happens when I press the flash selector button either. I have done the reset from the menu, taken the batteries out for 48 hours and tried different shooting modes but still no flash.
Any ideas? Thank you
I entered a photo into the contrast comp and for some reason, the photo became very dull so I checked it out and had to over expose the highlights in the editing suite and now looks the way I want.
I will put both photos to compare what I mean.
Hi,
When I try to switch to macromode with the scrollwheel, I'm getting a padlock symbol and the word 'on'.
I don't find this symbol in the manual. What does it mean and how can I get back in to macro mode?
i spent a few hours round sandwell valley today trying to take pictures of different birds, but seem to have problems with which mode to take them in?
I used mainly Aperture with auto focus it wasn't too bad but the light was all over the place so i was continously altering the light setting in my view finder to minus or plus to prevent the sun glare being to bright or when in darkish bushes lighten to get a better focus.
my highlight of my day was getting a picture of a woodpecker made my visit worthy.
