The HS20 is a great still image camera, but the auto focus on videos are very bad so don't plan on using it as you main video camera. Also, it uses AA batteries and not a rechargeable pack.
All that said, it takes great quality images and is packed with features.

Hello!
So I took the day off yesterday and spent the morning trying to take photographs of the birds in my garden.
The birdfeeder was on the other side of the garden, so I was on full zoom.
It was daylight, and sunny, but not direct sunlight.
First, I was on setting S for shutter priority. But the photos seem all grainy. A friend mentioned Aperture. Is it possible to change the Aperture when on shutter priority? Should I have gone straight into M mode? Constructive critism needed.
The shots aren't very detailed, and are quite noisy.
