- So it might be warmer now, but it wasn't long ago that it was Baltic, as this #Fujifilm #S9600 owner's blog proves! http://t.co/sNVjkZe48E
- Sending one of these (mic, not camera) to @geekanoids to have a play with and let us know what they think http://t.co/oMdKC1XbZX
- Not quite sure how this #Fujifilm #HS10 managed to stop this fast-moving subject in its tracks - that's some skill! http://t.co/I2Vz8rGj80

Great image! A real wish-I-was-there moment. What caused the funny effect in the trees? Well done!

A well composed and framed photo of a beautiful place

Yes love this beach. The composition has it all. Was it taken through glass as I agree with Peter about the funny effect of the trees? Shadows and everything compliment this well taken view.

Hi everyone , thanks for all you very kind comments. Looking at it again, I think I must have taken this through the coach window, I took so many photos of this beautiful place. Some when I was off the coach and others while on it. We were only there for 2 days, and there was so much to see. It is such a beautiful place (Rio de Janeiro with Sugar Loaf mountain in the background). I doubt if I will ever get to see that again. Fabulous memories though, and lots of photos.

Lovely picture Pam! It looks like a lovely place to be, a little too far for me I think so it`s nice to see photos.

Good shot Pam. Like you I'm over 60 now and travelling the world. Great isn't it? When I first looked at your shot I couldn't quite work out what gave it the odd quality it has. Now that you've said you shot it through a coach window, that explains it. It also explains the reflections on the glass in the tree area and loss of sharpness. Such a pity you weren't able to take it from outside of the coach. Despite all this, the framing is terrific and for a shot grabbed on the move, you've done well. Without the above detractions it would have been a four for sure.
Well done and keep travelling!

I wish there was a way to contact people directly without having to go back into their photos. Many thanks Pam for your very kind comments on mine. By the way, it was impossible to hold a glass of drink and take the shot at the same time. (I tried, but I kept spilling it!) I may have beaten you on the number of countries visited, but you beat me on continents. I've only done six and haven't been to Antartica like yourself. Too much of a sun-worshipper.
Happy landings!

Beautiful scenery Pam and lovely tones. Your went to Sugar Loaf Mountain for your picture .....and I went to the bottom of my garden for mine!!! I guess you win hands down on that score. All the very best and thank you for your kind comments and words of encouragement. Basil.

A very nicely composed shot from a coach and that's not easy. Maybe just me but those distant hills look like an animal lying down.

Taken through a coach window? Wow!
Very cleverly shot as it is nicely sharp and clear.
