Cheers.
He was just asking to be photographed! Brought a little sunshine to my day!
I hope I have captured him tastefully, and this will be a break from the inevitable entries of flowers, sunsets, sunrises, kids with ice creams, and pets.
(Although if anyone is petty enough to report this photo, I do have a back up, but hopefully no one will object to a tasteful, arty shot).
There is more obvious nudity on this site already. All of it females, time to balance things up a bit.

A good study. Solid range of tones and nicely balanced. BOL.

Well done Marion I like it. Different but nice.

Fair comment in my view .... are you throwing down the gauntlet here Marion? That could be interesting.... lots of female photographers on this site!
Anyway I like it. It has a nice sunny feel, quite luminous in the highlights, and I like the pattern thrown by the blind slats. I don't think the theme police can book you (though they may try!) because it definitely says sunshine to me. I think it deserves a like for originality/courage (it's a black and white too (which I love) but folks hereabouts don't seem to go much for monochrome).
Good Luck and I hope it survives....

Thanks Bob, appreciate your comments.
It was not intended as a case of throwing down the gauntlet, (though I would welcome more of the same) just anticipating the inevitable backlash, (there are some members on here who are willing to have a pop at me anytime -for any reason) and pointing out that there are many photos of naked women on this site already, and they seem to have met with enthusiasm, generally. So, I don't see mine as any different, in that respect.
Also my picture is suggestive, rather than provocative.

Very brave entry and definately on theme (not that it matters) Im not a big fan of monochrome but it suits this shot which is just a wee bit naughty but not too much. Im sure some prudes will have a problem with it but stuff them, Fred isnt of that ilk so it should be safe.
About the nude women on this site, I was wondering where they might be, for purely artisitic reasons.
Im hoping this doesnt give Unda ideas, she has been comparing me to the paintings on those old greek vases recently which makes me a bit anxious.
Good luck.
So long and thanks for all the fish

Good photo, tastefully done I don't see it being a problem, I was wondering too where the nude females are, just to help me improve my photographic technique

An interesting study, Marion, with a very tasteful crop! The monochrome treatment emphasises the patterns of light and shade well. Good luck in competition. Thanks for your comments.

Well you beat me to it Marion. I was going to submit my version.
Anyway, well done on being brave enough to enter this. In my opinion, on theme and not at all offensive or tacky. No different than the topless, 'artistic' female shots we often see on the site.
You already know I like this. I think the choice of black and white works well and I particularly like the light and shadows cast by the blinds. A bit more contrast maybe but a strong image regardless, especially for the first try.

The 'exposure' is just perfect!
Works so well in B&W and I love the angle of the shadows that fall across the face and neck with the larger shadow falling across the chest and down the arm. A difficult subject to get artisticaly right...but you have nailed it.

Looks like a few folks are getting lazy with the likes, this should have scrollered by now. Maybe if you had cropped a little less off.
So long and thanks for all the fish

Maybe I should put the uncropped, full body, head to toe version in my gallery?
hah ha, for my eyes only (and his).
I do have another nude shot there, but it's very different to this, different guy, head and shoulders only.
