Looks a cold place to wait for a bus, but you saw something different.
I like it.

Lovely cold wintry shot, but with warm colours. Timed to perfection with the sun in just the right place. Wonderful.

Love the golden glow from the sun throught the bus shelter Joe. Nice timing for the sunburst just on the roof. Like the cold snowy scene but warmed by the glow. So peaceful. Still loved your other entry of the night mono of the Forth Rail Bridge.

Hi Joe
A real cracker, the first comment said it looks like a cold place to wait for a bus, I think it looks warm!!! Funny how different folk see different things. Good job, it would be a boring world if not.
Well done on the scroller.

When I first saw this it reminded me strongly of the paintings by Edward Hopper. This is a wonderfully and strangely warm and atmospheric image. A brilliant juxtaposition of the cold landscape and lonely shelter with the warmth of the sun. A well conceived and timed shot- the position of the sun, the rays of light, the highlights on the crisp snow all go together to make it work so well. The all important title is just the icing on the cake.
Cheers,
Gary Hickin

Thanks very much to everyone who has commented. I'm really quite flattered. It's good to know that I'm not the only one who sees the beauty in ordinary things. The shot was taken on the shortest day and Eve of my Birthday - The Winter Solstice.
Thanks again
Regards Joe.
