I took this photo in the early hours of 3rd July 2011 on a recent trip to Liverpool. My Fuji HS10 camera was set to night mode on my tripod with a ten second timer delay. The electric light reflections of the Echo Wheel and the lights from the buildings on the Albert Dock including The Pump House can be seen reflecting in the Canning Dock. Such still calm water making the reflections mirror like and the image is how I actually saw it through my viewfinder. A truly wonderful night light sight.

Hi Alison, I love this picture and the wee story that goes with it. The blackness of the night highlighted by the the lights casting beautiful reflections. The small arch of white lights sets this off a treat. Very attractive scene. All the VBOL.

brilliant shot Alison, very impressive, i think I'm gonna have to upgrade my camera again, thanks for the comment on my entry, i really struggled with mine 1, i forgot my tripod but balanced the cam on a boulder, then set the timer for 2 sec, and it was not that good in auto night mode so had to scrap the auto feature and mess about with the settings a little, took me 11 shots lol, not a bad shot there's quite alot of noise in my pic though no were near as clear as yours, Bol.
