Good vantage point. Love the detail as the mono bring out the texture of the wall. Nice reflections in the bubbles. Nicely timed for the child blowing and one ready to form. Has to be enlarged.

I absolutely love this image
The light off the bubbles is perfect, the expression of wonder on his face perfect and the black and white conversion perfect.
I reckon this might have a damned good chance this month!

Fantastic! Absolutely top rate! Beautiful b&w image, lovely depth of field. Great textures in the brickwork. The highlights in his face, his jacket and the bubbles are near perfect. Nice touch of vignetting to the sides. Excellent composition. All said and done, I suppose it's OK

This shot is brilliant. So few images have the composition, contrast and content to look stunning in B&W........but for me this image has it all, together with a timeless feel. Top shot

Great image. Looks like a child of the 50's (I remember it well)
Good detail and plenty of interest - as you say best viewed large. Can see the movement with the formation of the next bubble.
Awsome

what an absolutely fabulous image the tones and textures are supper, the expression on the childs slightly grubby face and the vingette around the image add to the atmosphere and set the subject of to a tee. This must be a winning image! well done you sould be chuffed with this.

I totally agree with Facefirst, the atmosphere of this photo and expression on the child's face and composition is first class, especially as it is in B/W.

Glad I found this, has everything. The light on the bubbles, and on the child's face is spot on. The composition is good as is the conversion from colour to monochrome. Stands a good chance of placement.

Well captured. You can see the look of discovery in the childs expression.
Composition, focus on the child and dof make for a great image.
The B&W minimises the distracting background and also takes me back to when I was that age and everything was B&W.

A fine image Mr Butcher. Shallow DoF isolates the lad from his background and I think that being B&W suggests distant memories. Great composition too, best of luck.
