This was captured using 180 single exposures and then combined using free star trail software called "startrails.ne". I think the software has messed up a bit as some of the stars are moving and some are static.

Thanks Nigel. It's great fun! Ok, waiting in the cold pressing the shutter every 30 seconds isn't too much fun but seeing the final result is worth it. I really need to buy a intervalometer

It's a great attempt. I notice that someone is stood at the bedroom window too!!! I bet they wondered what you were doing. If I win the lottery, I will buy you a intervalometer, I don't like to think of you stood out there in the cold!!! He he

Like this, was wondering when someone would do a startrails for this comp. By the way, you don't need an intervalometer, just a cable release with the shutter locked and in "long period" continuous shooting mode.
