Don’t be offended if I have not taken the time to write more comments about your picture this is because I would rather take time looking at the pictures than writing about them, If I have taken the time to have a look at your shot I will acknowledge it.

Beautifully composed Paula. Remember getting 'smuts' in my eye after leaning out of the window (health and safety would have a fit now).

Perfectly timed shot Paula. Good vantage point and perspective. Nothing beats a great head of steam. I have shots like this but on the Glenfinnan Viaduct.
Good luck.

What a great image! It has nostalgia too as it could have been taken 50 years or moere ago.
Nicely composed and very well exposed to bring the best out of all areas throughout the shot.
Well done.

Congrats an 2nd place. This looks like 'Leander' the 'Fellsman' We were on that train on 2nd September and what a great journey, obviously couldn't take much from on-board, This looks great , we saw lots of photographers all the way to Carlisle . and this line is soon to be on the BBC Great Train Journeys as well.
