No worries, Rosemary! I don't expect to please everyone! Actually, the reason why I re-submitted it was that the image's colours werent right when I posted it. I think it must have been something to do with the compressions. Anyway, that's sorted now!

I would very much like to take your eyes out and rub them with a scouring pad.

Same here.  As previously said, I admire the skill required to take such a shot but it's too macabre for me. I don't understand the point you are trying to make either. Sorry!

Sorry if you're disappointed with only a comment, but I don't do stars.

Once again, that's ok! As I said, I don't take pictures to please everyone, or else it would be very boring! Art is all about the reaction and feeling that an image or piece of work provokes - good or bad. It's all good to me!

Thanks for taking the time to comment though!

I understand where you are coming from now you have added the note about Cecil Beaton, however, even as an ex art college pupil I still don't like the dead chicks! Wink

HA! I know where you're coming from Angela. Tis ok! To be honest, we have a box of teh damn things as food for our numerous ferrets! I thought they'd make an interesting prop.

Nice hoverfly, by the way. They're great to take pictures of if you can get the buggers to stay still long enough! lol! Good luck with your shot in the comp!

That's better, but I'd still like to see the chicks a "cleaner" yellow, to make a better statement. Not being an arty type, I'm not sure what the statement is supposed to be, but feel that maximum impact is what you are striving for?

liked this photo at first glance.....until i read comments and realised that those were dead chickens, I m no great animal rights person, but found that distasteful

i know you already had them for your ferrets, but still dont like the idea of having them around someone's face
