I was pretty much standing on top of the bird to get this shot, it kept turning its back and being camera shy it took a good 20 minutes of the bird playing hard to get before I managed to get the shot, then it pointedly ignored me again. Well worth the wait though : )

Superb composition Mark. Love thye pose. Good detail and textures in the feathers. Love the colours. Wish I could photograph something like thios but have to do with the local wildlife in the pond opposite.
