Well done everyone. Lots of great entries including the 'Not for judgings'. I found this surprisingly difficult but....1st Andy - the hands really add interest to the photo and the frame concentrates the eye on the subject.2nd Chris - I love the way the frame disappears into the holly bush. Nicely exposed with an interesting scene in the frame.3rd Mags - great contrast between the old and the new. Again, well exposed to bring out detail in the arch and the main scene.

Cheers again Pam!Thanks to those of you who did have a go, I thought that was what this ihc was all about, learning different skills that can be done with your camera and gaining knowledge about your camera along the way?Maybe  weekly along those lines would give folk longer to try and achieve the desired results, so it seems that as long as it is all done while taking the shot any image is acceptable so i judged all the entries in the forum.

Well, I knew this was going to be a hard one to judge, I have changd my mind several times they are all so good. But decide I must, so here goes.1st Pixel. Thanks again for choosing my blog, Ady..... calm now, (that'll be the glass of red!! )but still haven't eaten.I'd like you to compile a blog of souvenirs and memories. Anything from naff holiday ornaments to your childhood teddy.  Obviously I'd like super composition, lighting etc. and mind-blowing narrative.  But I'd be quite happy with a few entries to judge.I'll be in Portugal on Sunday 26th May, but my daughter assures me that I'll be able to judge, using her i-phone thingy.

I think I'm still being too harsh on people sometimes .It may be useful for people to put which software they use and where they think they are on the manipulation scale of one to ten and how comfortable they are .I'll start .Experience comfort level 6.Can follow tutorials eventually most of the time and can wing it a bit where I can't .Use Photo-shop for manipulation and Capture NX for RAW editing .Time willing and able to give a task here within a week, around 8 hours at present .

I found it difficult to find a task that focuses on one particular method, such as the OOB task did.  So I hope this task is suitable as it is fairly general.  There will only be a Part 1 so plenty of time to come up with something imaginative and top notch, hopefully, over two weeks.  The task is based upon this tutorial:
