The task this week is to make CUBES.   I know this can be done with a click of a button on some packages but I remember the thrill I had when I first managed tto do his task from scratch.    This was set by Annifah more than 18 months ago so I hope sufficient time has passed for the oldies to have another go and that the newbies enjoy the challenge.    The task will run for two weeks which will give everyone time to explore the task and perhaps even take the challenge on a bit.

Well done EVERYONE.  A really slick presentation of entries this week. Judging is really difficult. The variety of the entries is wonderful..  Thank you you three early entries, Blowfish, Tulips and Alpacas. Yours kept the interest alive.  Cutting comments for the scissors, five likes for Gwalion, the Swan made us laugh, the Peas had a very good caption as well as being a carefully constructed photograph, the Navy ships were a fascinating landscape, the Wine Glasses an excellent arty. The Alpacas were very interesting, the Blowfish a visiting granddaughter's favourite.

I loved them all so it has been very difficult to decide on a winner - a wide variety of interpretations and all of them actually are excellent. But a winner there must be so1st Mary-Ann for her Minterne Magna house on fire. It was so realistic and an excellent piece of work.Joint 2nd is Jenny's Gnome having a little rest - just my 'thing'.and on a similar themeBob's fairy through a lens.

Thanks for all the entries this week, it's been a tough choice, I loved every one of them, but, after much deliberating, here are the results.1st   Steve Conway, when I set the challenge this was exactly the shot I had in mind, and he's captured it perfectly.2nd   Scottishladdie  I loved these trollies, and the shot was spot on.3rd   Bob W   Even though I hate these pylons springing upeverywhere I loved this shot, and the way they just vanished into the distance.

This week I would like you to produce some orbsA simple tutorial if you are using photoshopYou need a fairly colourful photo cropped to an exact square.Go to FILTER- DISTORT-POLAR COORDINATES  when this opens choose polar to rectangular (the bottom one) then go to IMAGE- ROTATE 180 degrees.Go back to FILTER-DISTORT-POLAR COORDINATES this time choose rectangular to polar. The result should be a very interesting circle.

Hi All,     This one may be fairly simple but hopefully will have some interesting results. The idea this week is to combine 2 faces inthe same photo.  Not to morph them so you lay the faces on top of each other and combine but to have one half face A and the other half face B.There was a scrolling entry which was exactly what I was thinking of - one young half, one old half - but, honest, I'd been thinking about this before that appeared !
