Here's a task that combines several techniques we've done before; OOB, torn photo and perspective. There is a Photoshop Tut here, wearers of GIMP suits or customers of Ye Olde Paynt Shoppe will have to wing it ...Registration thread will be posted on Sunday.Have fun.Howard

You have until 8PM (UK Time) on Sunday 4th March to choose 1 or both of the photos and change it/them I don't mind if they've been edited or manipulated as long as they stay within the criteria.Post your entry(s ) in the registration threadThis competition can be as easy as putting a border on the photo or as difficult as cutting, colour adjustment, HDR whatever you want.

The IHCM is a weekly challenge run on a rota basis with members taking it in turn to find and post challenges. Ideas for challenges are usually found online as Photoshop tutorials but other manipulation software such as GIMP, PS Elements etc are suitable.

Well I have to say it has been extremely difficult to judge !! Thanks to all that entered, there was a really high standard with some beautiful images submitted. After much deliberation here are my choices :1st - Steve Conway - Egg - this was a stunning but totally simple image, the lighting was perfect.2nd - Georgie F - Candles - Filling the frame with such a simple object as a small candle really worked for me and the tones were great.

I think the IHC registration thread has to be solely for entering the image into the thread or at least, containing the link to your entry un your gallery. Strictly no comments or other digressing views need to be in this thread. If we have to trawl through loads of posts, just to fing the IHC images , it will become a chore. The post just needs the IHC images and links.

This week's topic is...Ice CreamHow do you explain Ice Cream?I'd like some images which would help someone to understand  what ice cream is if they'd never encountered it before, why do we love it?           what do we do with it ?

How awesome is this that these challenges are still going.I wish I could enter more of them, but sadly I cant as I orriginally started them when I was on holliday from work, never expected them to be going 4 weeks on.I still look regulary at the entries and I am continually amazed ad the submissions. I think because of the short time frame in which we have to do them, makes  a greeat challenge for the photographer. I hope you are all benifriting from the tasks.Well done all.Paul Royal

Well folks you've really had my mouth watering all week so much so I had to give into temptation and bake scones, shortbread and nectarine muffins. After long deliberation my winning shots are :-1st Shotlandka (Jill) I thought this was so well thought out and could be used in an advertising campaign.2nd Pastaflora  This reminded me of the Opera Slices I used to enjoy and the close up with the two coloured chocolate topping was again mouth watering.

As Paul hasn't appeared...Fairly straightforward but nebulous task this week.  I remember once seeing a cloud formation which was scarily like the Crucifixion in an otherwise cloudless sky. By the time I'd got my old film SLR out it had dissipated a bit otherwise I'm sure I could have sold it to the newspapers. ;-) Now, if I'd been digital, had Photoshop or GIMP or the like, I could have airbrushed it a bit but then we didn't even have PC's in those days!
