Please post the link to your entry for 'Dragen Effect' into this thread. This task will close on December 2ndFor anyone new:The IHC Man is for the purpose of exploring software. The task is set weekly or fortnightly - depending on the task and according to a Rota. The person setting the task tries to find tutorials for others to follow - but as there are so many different programmes this is not always possible for all softwares. There is a discussion thread and a registration thread

I know that Angie usually reminds us of this, but I've noticed that there are competition threads out there dating from as long as 3 months ago.Perhaps we could all check and tidy it up a bit.  Hope I don't hurt anyone's feelings by posting this....   :-)

Okay, here are the results. Everyone says this but it hasn't been easy to decide the winner and it's changed a couple of times, but......First - MikshepSecond - Margaret55Third - PixelGreat takes on the theme and very good ideas.  Glad I didn't have to make an entry ;)============ Thanks again for the win Paul.  It's always nice to win but I always think it's such a responsibilty to come up something to interest people. I have been really thrilled to see everyone's pictures of trains. Both the ones for the IHC and all the other lovely ones that everyone has posted.Mummy hasn't had time to post comments on all the pictures, but we have looked at them ALL! Oh mummy has put judged on all the comp entriesIt has been a really difficult decision for me but the winners are:1 Phillip Past.  I really like that one with the steam and all the buffer bits. My favourite!

Quite a well-subscribed comp. We had just over 20 entries. One was disqualified because it wasn't taken this week - try again Wally.Three then went because of bits of sky being blown out. This included Margaret's lovely willow which reminded me of J R R Tolkein's Old Man Willow.Neil and Anne went because of the straightening.

Once upon a time the IHC would attract 25 - 30 entries per week. Since the Daily Challenge has arrived it seems that the total number of entries have tailed off.Cakes = approx 17 entries Contextual Portrait = around 12 entries. This week, a morning shot = 0 so far. Yesterday's Daily Challenge had approx 20 entries!I'm not talking about the IHC MAN, just the standard IHC.Do people prefer the Daily challenge more than the IHC? Is it set to take over?Personally I prefer the IHC, but it would be interesting to hear what people think.

Yes... this weeks challenge is:  sunrise or sunset: .... in colour only pleaseurban or rural, both are effectiveI think the timescale for sunrise & sunset is suited for both Northern & Southern Hemispheres at the moment ( so maybe Paul could entice some of his Antipodean oppo`s to join us ... :)....)...& I`m sure the weather here will throw up something vaguely picturesque at some time during your week~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This weeks task is the 'Tilt Shift' effect.  Google should provide plenty of tutorials and Google Images plenty of examples. On this occasion I will allow an additional object to be added to the scene to aid the illusion, something like this ...... the original image, without the tilt-shift, was uploaded by Fred Finepix and someone, (Ray Fothergill I think), said it reminded him of 'Thunderbirds' ... I never could resist temptation.
