I found it difficult to find a task that focuses on one particular method, such as the OOB task did.  So I hope this task is suitable as it is fairly general.  There will only be a Part 1 so plenty of time to come up with something imaginative and top notch, hopefully, over two weeks.  The task is based upon this tutorial:

I think I'm still being too harsh on people sometimes .It may be useful for people to put which software they use and where they think they are on the manipulation scale of one to ten and how comfortable they are .I'll start .Experience comfort level 6.Can follow tutorials eventually most of the time and can wing it a bit where I can't .Use Photo-shop for manipulation and Capture NX for RAW editing .Time willing and able to give a task here within a week, around 8 hours at present .

Thank you to everyone who took part.  Results are as follows :-1st - Laurie You said that the stairs weren't interesting, but you have made them so, with the crisp shot and the great angle...  well done.. loved it.2nd - Mags Again I loved the angle.... almost looked as though you could topple over.  I almost had vertigo looking at this.  A trompe l'oeil effect...looked a bit surreal.3rd - Mary-Ann Beautiful natural stone steps, going from dark to light.

Thanks again for choosing my blog, Ady..... calm now, (that'll be the glass of red!! )but still haven't eaten.I'd like you to compile a blog of souvenirs and memories. Anything from naff holiday ornaments to your childhood teddy.  Obviously I'd like super composition, lighting etc. and mind-blowing narrative.  But I'd be quite happy with a few entries to judge.I'll be in Portugal on Sunday 26th May, but my daughter assures me that I'll be able to judge, using her i-phone thingy.

Some would say "only 4 blogs"? but I say yea, but 4 "great blogs".I will only pick one winner (and that is bad enough in itself) But the others can rest assured not being a winner is not losing either. I have learned something from all of them.So......the winner is.......for a colourful and interesting wade through a days worth of machines........and I hate emptying the dish washer too..oO( :) )Oo. JANGA .oO( :) )Oo.Rules:

As there are only five entries this week I have only nominated the first two. Even so the judging gets harder as the standard of entries gets higher week by week. Well done everyone.1st — D C. A well composed image with very good processing.2nd — Ady. An interesting image very well processed, especially the bringing up of the texture in the stone.Your turn now, Danny.    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The rules
