I'm quite pleased with my F70EXR as a carry-anywhere camera. It fits quite unobtrusively in my jeans pocket. The performance is sometimes really good, occasionally I find the colours a bit flat - maybe that's EXR DR's fault? Anyway, I'd like something with a wider angle lens and the option to shoot RAW. For those features the F550 looks very attractive, but opinions on this site seem a bit mixed. What do people think? Thanks, Martin

Er... question is in the title.  The reason I ask is that I have a few pics I took when I was using my Canon EOS 1000 35mm film camera that I would like to show.  They are scanned photo's, so aren't as good quality as the originals, but I would still like to share them. The pic in my profile is one of them.  Taken at Windsor Safari Park (now Lego Land!) when the Penguin was pruning it's feathers.

I want to carry my new X100 in my pocket but need a soft, light and slim bag to protect it.  Does anybody know where I can find one?   Most bags are too large and/or stiff for the pocket.

I had a panasonic lumiz, when my bag got stolen the other week the camera went with it, gutted, I gained a simple samsung compact, it was doing ok for the time. The panasonic was only a bridge, my second but it was fantastic, I could set the aperture no problem, get DOF perfectely, etc,  all these (a couple are HDRd.) were taken on the panasonic,

i wanted to hear opinions (hopefully from some user maybe) ..i know there are many nikon users here too.. about nikkor 16-85mm f3.5-5.6. i read a lots of reviews on-line. it is a bit costly, but is it worth it?i've got 18-105mm lense, so i was wondering how much difference it makes (16vs18).thanks!

Not that I use it very often, but I just thought I would experiment with the high speed video capability of the HS 10 camera so I took my RC truck out and my son and I had some fun. I threw it together with some music using the edit software called Edius by Grass Valley.  Here is the link if your interested:http://www.vimeo.com/26672548

I have a case from my previous HS10 which I could use, but is there such a thing as the old 'Ever Ready' type cases available at a realistic price? It is such a performance opening the bag, removing the camera, putting strap over head etc. All else it needs to hold is a spare set if batteries and card.

I have been scouring the internet to try and find an eyecup/magnifier for the HS10s EVF.  I found a few home-made solutions, but these involved some modification of the camera or eye cup.  Then I stumbled across this

I bought my HS10 about 3 weeks ago. No problems with using the S, A, P functions and very pleased at achieving some great macro shots. BUT....how do you set a long focal length to zoom in on a subject and throw the background out of focus?Does one have to be 10ft away? 20? 30?  Should it be set to maximum telephoto?

while browsing through the photos i took at a take that concert concert at wembley, i noticed this particular one with an anomoly.after looking at all other photos with light glare and flashes from other cameras they are nowhere a resemblence to this.could it be supernatural - extra-terrestrial or just a weird lighting anomoly.i had a photo with something similar taken indoors at home with no flash although not as intense, and after taking more of the exact scene just a few seconds later i couldn't replicate the anomoly.

Hi allI have upgraded from my fuji s3500 today to a 8100fdIt is a lovely camera and I am happy with the regular pics it can take. The problem I am facing is that I mainly want to use it to take pictures of my coral reef. With the 3500 it was simple, set lowest res , click the macro and zoom in max, always used to get lovely pic albeit small :)Example
