Hi its my finepix s1730 am having problems with! It turns on, let's you take a photo, then the green light turns/flashes Orange and won't display the photo and the lcd/camera becomes unresponsive and you have to remove the batteries and turn it back on, upon turn on the previous photo hasn't been saved. Unsure why the fault is there,

whilst im out try to capture butterflies and birds i raise my camera look through my view finder and by the time i have focused its gone. even when i dont need to zoom in and catch something in and instant i still have to press the button halfway to focus before i can take the shot.is there a way i can just point and shoot then i should be able to crop later to see if i captured my subject, will it be in focus and will the lighting be ok these are other factors i must consider ?

Hi I would like to ask some advice about what batteries you all use in your s1730.I used to have a s5700 and the batteries I used for that were ones I could pick up quite easily from Poundshops and discount stores and they would last up to 500 photos. However since I upgraded to the 1730 I haven't found any batteries that will last more than a few minutes. What batteries do you use? Are recharchables more advisable? Its doing my head in as I have missed loads of great photo ops because the batteries have dies already.Thank you for any help you can give :)

Hi, I have a new SL300 and I don't know if it's faulty or if it's me but I'm not getting any decent photos from it and I've had plenty of cameras before which have been fine.  I want to take action shots of my dogs but if I set the camera on Sports Mode, I get a shutter speed of around 1/60s which really isn't good enough.  If I use the shutter speed setting and put it up to 1200, 1600 or 2000, I get wishy washy photos which are blurry or the exposure isn't right.

Hi all,I know this topic has been covered to death but I was wondering could anyone recommend good chargers for AA batteries and what places you would recommend buying them from? From what I have read Enelope is the way to go but could anyone recommend any similar type of battery so I can compare and get the best for my needs. Thanks all.

My S9600 is eating batteries is a way it did not when I first purchased it.  It is still under warranty and has been back for repair twice and returned with no-fault found. I have tried different rechargeable batteries, different alkaline batteries, and lithium batteries, but none of them lasts more than a few shots now, compared to when I first got the camera. For example a week ago I charged up and put brand-new 2700 NiMH batteries in my camera and took about 10 shots. Yesterday I went turn the camera on the batteries were dead.

I have a Finepix 4200 and when i zoom out even a little i can feel the extention part of the lens a bit shacky when i move the camera around. I can even move the extention part of the lens left/right and up/down with my finger. Although the movement is very minimal, is this normal. Thanks

Back in the days of 35mm film photography, A slip of paper included with the film gave an exposure guide for manual settings. Bright sunshine- f16 at 1/100 second for ISO 100, F11 for hazy sun, f8 for cloudy bright, f56 for cloudy dark and none for indoors. These settings worked pretty well but often required adjustments while making prints. Professional photographers used light meters and often bracketed their shots for the best exposure.

Hi, thought I would try here before I take the camera to the local camera shop.I have the Fuji S2950 which I have had for over 2 years now. Now the flash has stopped working. All I have is the no flash icon top left on the screen. The flash is flipped up but the camera doesnt recognise it. Nothing happens when I press the flash selector button either. I have done the reset from the menu, taken the batteries out for 48 hours and tried different shooting modes but still no flash.Any ideas? Thank you

I just want to share my frustrating experience with my first two days with my new HS20 to hopefully help anyone else new to this camera who has minimal photograpy technical skills. You will get almost no help other than confusion from the manual expecially if you are a visual learner. It basically tells you what the camera can do but doesn't tell you how to find it on the camera... seems Fuji thinks everyone who buys it, is an expert in photography.

i'm looking to buy a wide angle lens for landscapes and some qwerky animal portraits now heres the thing what would you recomend a 8-16 or 10-20mm the 10-20mm is quite cheaper if i go tamron (i think) but i cant find any examples of photos taken with either lens. I just wondered what you experts would recomend

Hi all, I have recently bought a refurbished HS30EXR from Fuji. The original one had to be sent back because the eye sensor did not work. The replacement came but it had a whirring/crackling noise. I could hear this noise constantly all the time the camera was switched on and in all modes,( except when in stills playback mode), and it was picked up by the microphone when recording a movie. I rang Fuji again, and they said to send it back.

Hi all,I been wondering what is the darkest ND filter with 58mm screw fitting or a 58mm mounting holder system i have great success with my ND 400 but wondered if there is a ND filter that will allow me to use the full range of exposure aperture settings available on my HS 30 EXR as usual any help would be invaluable.                                         Cheers all,
