Does it not say 58mm on the front of the lens?

Normally that figure would be the filter thread size.

As Ray stated, along with other information the thread size is shown as 58mm on the front face of the lens.

Yes, as they said its definately 58mm, I have a few addon filters etc and a zoom extender that all fit it perfectly.

If you end up wanting a zoom extender dont get the cheap ones, they just ruin the pictures as does the Canon TC-DC58N which is just as bad as the cheapest ones and looks much the same as them too, a terrible waste of money and I wont be buying Canon products again after that.

The Sony VCL-DH1758 works perfectly with the HS10 and almost doubles that big zoom (1.7x), it even improves the quality of pics at the longer end of the zoom range.  Ive not tried the Raynox but from all the accounts Ive read its also a good investment with high quality lenses.

So long and thanks for all the fish
