hi can anyone tell me what size sd card i can go up to please

It will take up to 32gb SD card, however I would recommend using multiple smaller cards because if your 32gb card becomes damaged or corrupted that's a heck of a lot of images to lose!!

Good advice from klovibond. I would suggest a 4GB for general use. However if you are taking lots of video, you'll need a bigger card.
