It's snowing again, so instead of getting depressed I decided to do some more experimenting with manual settings. Attempted to capture the snow flakes, I just stepped out my front door so the setting isn't anything special. I'm attempting to figure out how to get away from auto, this is shutter priority AE 1/4000, the camera used F5. What do you think?

I have had my s4250 since Christmas, and I have played with all the settings and I am still having problems with the Sports setting. My son plays Basketball, Baseball, track, and cross country. Most of his Basketball pics have turned out blurry. Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated. I have tryed the viewer and the display, cant use flash inside and I tryed that, tryed taking multiple pics.  HELP!

Hello everyone, i have now finaly been successful in creating and entering a new blog onto the site, (my first for almost 8 months). I have this time tried something a little different to my previous work so hope you will spare the time to take a look, it is entitled `ENTER - THE TWILIGHT ZONE`. This is a follow up to my most recent and very successful gallery picture `ENCHANTED FOREST`.  The link to my new blog is below.    Many thanks,  Paul.

I have recently bought the HS30exr, and according to the website and a guy in the shop you can set the shutter speed to as slow as 30 seconds, to take photos of the stars. however i can only seem to get mine to go to 4 seconds.Any tips?Regards Alistair

Hello, I am a recent owner of a HS30 camera. I was using EXR AUTO as a general purpose mode, but I find image quality not quite good.  Even plain AUTO produces sharper images (daylight pictures), EXR AUTO pictures lack detail when compared with AUTO on close examination, and I see a lot of artifacts (I compare HS30 images with an older Sony DSC H10 camera images, which is an 8Mb 10x super zoom, and DSC H10 have more detail). Should I avoid EXR Auto mode? I want sharp, well exposed pictures. Or should I swith to FINE mode?

Has anybody taken successful pictures using the z90- with low level lighting (meals out, parties and the like), without using the flash? My pictures are unfocussed without flash, but using it is intrusive if you are trying to get 'natural' shots of people. This is my rather unsuccessful attempt. Suggestions? Thanks in advance :-)

That's 25 m underwater on a shipwreck.  Photography at that depth without lights isn't very successful for me.  But I was please with this one.

I'm wondering which are the ideal conditions i.e lighting conditions, subject (moving or stable), indoors, outdoors etc   for each one of these modes. When do we have to choose EXR- high ISO & Low noise and when Adv.Mode Pro low light?

I often get blurry pictures of moving subjects/people in an indoor environment using the Auto and EXR automatic settings. What settings/adjustments do I need to make to resolve this.
