Launching CCD-RAW data conversion function
Submitted by mal.moss62 on Mon, 13/06/2011 - 12:25
I have just purchased the F550EXR because it produces RAW images (as well as full HD) and loaded Fine Pix Viewer (V 3.6.5E) on my iMAC (running V 10.6.7). I now want to view & convert some RAW files and the manual tells me to click the 'Converting CCD-RAW files' button with the mouse to do so. There are 4 buttons on the top RHS of the viewer, 2 are active and 2 are greyed out however, none resemble the button shown on page 66 of the manual. I can only assume one of the greyed out buttons is actually the one to use so does anyone have an idea how to 'bring it to 'life' please? Thanks. Mal

Welcome aboard, Malcolm. If you have Photoshop or even Photoshop Elements (highly recommended), Adobe have a converter for your camera. I be a mac user myself and have always been fortunant to have PS and it's free RAW converter.
As for the Finepix software: hmmm. Always problematic at the end of the day.
