New S2960
Submitted by kevdb on Fri, 29/04/2011 - 08:14
Hi, I have just brought my first Finepix, S2960, and am very pleased with it, however I am now looking to buy a Lowepro Apex 100AW case and a Joby Gorillapod for the camera. Anyone have any comments on these products?
Thanks

I have a Lowpro Slingshot 100 that fits my s200exr and I find it great.
I just put it over my sholder and off I go.You can just slide it round and unzip and your camera is there ready to take out.You can also carry spair batteries, filters and any other bits and bobs you need.
The new version is the 102aw and costs £40 from Jessops but you can sometimes get the old version Slingshot 100 on Ebay for about £20-£25.
Its worth having a look (It may not suit you)
This is a Youtube video to show how it works

Lowepro cases seem excellent quality from what I have seen. Not familiar with the other product though.
Nice choice of camera..

I have a Lowepro case for my HS10. Had no problems with it. It is light, strong and seems very hard wearing. As for the gorillapod, my friend raves about his, yet there are different types and i don't know which one he has.

I brought my first fujifilm the other day and it's a finepix S290. I brought it to video with but I'm not sure about the audio quality when recording from the microphone. It's picks up so much noise that it makes it really loud background noise in the background of my videos. Any idea how I can improve sound quality?

If you buy a camera specifically for video you should buy a video camera. This is a stills camera which records video as a secondary function, it will never have the same quality as a dedicated video camera.
