Any cheap Pay-As-You-Go UK Mobile SIM card

I will travel to the UK in December for business and stay on for a few more days for leisure.  Is there any good and cheap Pay-As-You-Go (PAGO) SIM card that I can use calling friends and business partners in the UK?

I will use my Sony Ericsson mobile phone but take out my Singapore SIM card and put in the PAGO SIM bought in the UK.

Other suggestions are welcome too. Thanks!

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your detailed reply.

One of my colleagues mentioned that he was recommended to get a Virgin Mobile PAYG SIM as its rate was cheaper than others when he was in the UK a couple of years ago.  Is it still the case that Virgin Mobile is one of the cheaper service providers? Thanks again!

Daniel

Hi Steves,

Good information. Thanks!

I will go for the Virgin Mobile PAYG SIM card.

Is there a Virgin Mobile outlet in Heathrow Terminal 3 ?

Cheers! Daniel

Are you coming to UK on the A380?

I had the good luck to fly on her when she was only 3 weeks old, the cabin crew made us the most delicious singapore slings I have ever had, we flew from Singapore Changi airport to Sydney, Australia.

don't forget if your phone is locked to one network .it wont work you will have to get it unlocked .now i`m not sure where is the best place to get it unlocked .a market or somewhere like that will do it .but also phone shops that sell secondhand phone use do it as well .you might have to ask someone local whereever you will be staying .if they no where you can get it unlocked .

please comment on my Gallery and competition please .as every cc helps. Thanks

Hi James,

My phone is an unlocked one. Thanks for the thought.

Hi Chris,

I will fly Singapore Airline (SIA). I think it will be a Boeing 747-400 to UK and an AirBus A380 back to Singapore.

Will try to get a Singapore Sling for free from the SIA girls.

Thanks!

This may seem a bit outdated here, but I found lots of cool under 20 gbp mobile phones with great deals on a site called http://www.fones.com/mobile-phones/ … check it out… it seems quite updated and latest as it has the most recent deals listed.
