Am so chuffed everyone had a great time last week, and I've been blown away by the pics/blogs/comments, so thanks for posting all the pics and stories.

It seems to be a agreed principal that folk would be interested in doing it again next year. I have no problems with this, in fact I'd be delighted, but what I'm thinking is that the lakes is such a different place in other seasons, whether a meet in autumn would be of interest, especially all the lovely colours.

Next point is do we wait until Oct 2013 for it, or would folk be interested in Oct 2012, or is that too close?

I could sort it for next summer as a different season, but b&b's can be dearer and it could clash with other holidays.

Please feel free to add your thoughts comments below, I'm happy to go with peoples feelings.

We are going to Croatia at the end of September,so October this year might be a bit too tight for us,we are not big lovers of summer crowds,so next October would be ideal for us,having said that we will try and get to any you decide on Ian,we really enjoyed the last one,and I'm sure what ever you decide it will be a well attended success Smile

October this year or next year suits me Ian - I just need to know dates for this year to make sure I can have the time off work - I have already got the 5th and 6th which is a Friday and Saturday but may not be able to get any other dates off. If not next year suits me fine,  I like the idea of Autumn meet xxx

While the Autumn colours are nice, the days are very short in October. Also I'm unlikely to get much time off then.

This year would be great but will go with the flow and if it's next year. then I'll put in diary. I went to the lakes end Sept for a wk a few yrs ago with hubby and friends. It was lovely. I may get there again sometime this year if group meet is next year. Really can't wait to meet up with you all again. It was great fun. Ian, you did a fab job.

Im game but end of sep might be a struggle I can always tell the wife we cant go on holiday then but someone will have to push my wheel chair as I will have a couple of broken legs I think I will keep checking the posts

ok, shifts checked and if folk can't do the sept 29/30th w/e, how about the 5/6/7 Oct?

I have to work the Sat am until 2pm, but can stop over Sat night as am off work on the Sunday.

If folk want to do a different date in Oct, go for it, I can still drive through but won't be able to stay due to work.

Ian. October, 5/6/7 would be best for me, just in case we are able to fund a holiday in late September. However, if the date is to be September then I,m sure I work around that. Cracking idea! Oh! yes, Ambleside is cool.
