We went to Oxford Pride, that was a day!

Why isn't Cesar taking part, we all know how he loves a good hat!

Unfortunatly he is working the whole weekend this year Jen, he has managed to swap duties with a collegue so can still get to see some of the sights. I'm lucky and will be able to spend the whole day there weather permitting.

I won't be there as I have to come to London in a couple of weeks time.

Anyway, I couldn't bear to look at those well toned men then view my own reflection.  Vast contrast.

Have a great day Dave.

If anyone is thinking twice about going to see the 'March'. Don't worry it's more a mince than a march. Excuse the pun boys.

I have been on duty for this event since it started way back when. It's probably the best annual event in London. Everybody enjoys themselves all having a laugh. We always volunteered because it was a great day out.

One year we were all kitted out with a full set of tight motorcycle leathers. There I was at Regent Street / Piccadilly Circus manning a traffic cordon dreading what was coming down the road. I was then suddenly the centre of attention when they came into the Circus, being whistled at and chatted up by about 1000 blokes and it seemed every member of public had a camera. Apparently I looked like one of the "Village People" I had a tash then. A crowd of of guys joined me and all began singing "Young Man da da d d da" Well I had to join didn't I. It was hilarious. One my best day's ever.

May take the Mrs this year.

Dave.

I agree Dave, we have a gay son, not a lot of people know that!

Gay pride is something we have had to get 'used' to.

Would have loved to see you strut your stuff Dave, it's true what you say about everyone joining in and having a good time. We even see the Traffic Wardens letting their hair down most years.

I have a gay daughter, so like Jen I've had to get used to it as well. My daughter and her partner go up to Manchester and Telford for the Pride Parades.

Well full marks for ingenuity Cesar, what a little darling you are!  I must admit this is more colourful than I have ever seen.

There is a Gay Pride March in Cardiff every year, that is worth seeing.  Mr L got caught up in it last year on his way home from the cricket!

We still live in a narrow vale of narrow men, so we tread carefully.

Hi Cesar, Hi Dave,

i cross my fingers you get the best possible weather for the event Smile What a pity Cesar has to stay in the office that day..

So Dave - i think he at least deserves a lot of great photos and we all (the rest of the MFP forum) will be the beneficiaries Wink. I am looking forward to the pride parade here. As an elderly straight man i have very little connection to the gay scene but i absolutely dismiss the homophobia of some political or religious groups. Stuuuuuuuuuuuuuupids!

Even if it would not be such a great fun event i would join the pride parade as a symbol of PC. On the other hand, it's much easier when one can enjoy the occasion as well Wink

I was talking with my friend Laura at work and she recommends the Manchester one for adults as it is one big 'p1ss-up' but London for the whole family as it is more of a carnival than a pub crawl.

I'm sure it will be great fun.  Enjoy.
