Fred - your backside is showing through your trousers, because spammers are attacking the threads!

Had the stress of taking pics today of a graduation ceremony. Flash was hard , exposure looked wrong, no image stab. ,camera old (9600). Feeling less than able.Had the privilege of squeezing off a few shots on a Nikon D3. OMG, what a tool that was, speed balance TTL flash. You name it , it was there. I was feeling a bit glum ( camera envy?) about my sorry effort. Those babies (D3) are £3000-body only !!)so not gonna get one from Santa again.

Hi all, as the title suggests this has nothing to do with photography.  I would like to hear from anybody that suffers, or knows somebody that suffers from Bipolar.  This is a very personal subject, and am very happy for people to contact me via my contacts link.  I hope to hear from somebody. Thanks

Hi All,  The daily IHC is doing really well these days, so can I make a plea for more entries to the Weekly IHC ?  The last few weeks have had a low turnout so it would be good if those who take part in the daily had a go at the weekly also.No need to be afraid of enetering or thinking it is supposed to have a 'higher' standard than the daily - certainly not the case.In fact, it has many advantages -- a whole week to setup and take your picture- if you want ideas or guidance there is a discussion thread

Angie D is one of the most helpful people on this site. If it was not for her and a couple of others, I and I'm sure more than a few other people would not bother coming back. This spamming is pissing her off. I agree. Please do something.

After a comment by Uwe on another thread,I thought this might help some who didn't know how to view pictures in the galleries in a larger format,it's a cheat really but it works well I think, this info is for Internet Explorer but all browsers have the facility you just have to look in help to find it, mine is Opera and it's easier with that, first go to the gallery and picture you want to view larger, then before you click on the image to enlarge it,go to the top right hand side of Internet Explorer you will see "page" with a small arrow pointing down, click on that and scroll down to "Zoom" s

It's the annual Sunderland air show in a couple of weeks, and I'm looking forward to trying out my HS10 on my favourite subject.  I used to spend a fortune buying film and developing the pictures when I had a 35mm SLR, and would probably get one good shot in five or six and ration my shots so I had plenty of film for the whole show.  Now digital has made it so I can click away to my hearts content and only print the shots I like - fantastic.I've booked myself into the VIP enclosure - good views and food and drink too.  Really looking forward to it! :D

Well I like them both. I can see we will get some energetic cats and dogs and babies on bikes - and maybe some BOFs as they are busy bees. But it has great potential. And Angles I love - churches come to my mind but it is a real open theme.

I would just like to say to Angie, thank you for bumping all the posts (well most of them) up after another attack last night and early morning.  It's just a shame that some kind person has to do this sort of thing. It would perhaps be an idea if after registering, they should confirm their email address before entering photos and posts. Thanks again Angie. I'm needing to ask step by step clicks to get an image url from my gallery to my image in the weekly members' exhibition.   I click the "Exhibition offfice" link but it brings me straight back to the Exhibition thread.  I've followed kind instructions in the past with success (all written down), but this method has now gone haywire for me.I can highlight the image URL (blue), hold down Ctrl+c, but this just throws up a lot of unrelated rubbish along the top, which all starts with the letter c, but is not what I want.

I was in town today when I was approached by a couple of Mormons. Now I know most people would just keep on walking and not get involved but I do quite enjoy a theological discussion. When this guy asked me if I had ever read the Bible, I said I'd read bits of it but not the whole thing. He said that if I hadn't read it in it's entirety, I wasn't able to have an opinion about it. He later went on to talk about the evils of the Internet. So I asked him if he had read the whole thing.
