I know I have been away for a while, and I dont know if this is a factor, but is the site Slow?I seen to click on tabs amd it takes ages to respond. I know its not my broadband speed as it is about 10mb. Goodness knows what it would be like with slow broadband, other sites fly compared to Myfinepix, is it me, is it just lateley, or am I just not used to it crawling at a snails pacee?

I used the contact button to ask Fred about it on Friday but still no reply. I haven't gotten the official email notification for my April competition win as yet. Can anyone tell me if that is typical? Last time when I won a second place I heard soon after the winners were announced but it has been a week now and still nothing. :(

Much to my surprise, not one but two Jays visited my garden about 7pm this evening. They fed on my bird table for about 7 or 8 minutes and I managed to get shots of them but only through the double glazing - still worth a look I think. They returned at about 8pm but the light was gone then. Hopefully they will appear again tomorrow when I will be better prepared. What a lovely sight.

was up early and went for a walk around a local pit. managed to get a pic of a sedge warbler singing away..... then in the distance a barn owl caught my eye. it's the first ive seen while having a camera with me and was some distance off. it was just about to drop to the ground when i pressed the shutter.

I remember something Daniel Demolder, editor of Amateur Photographer, once wrote. To paraphrase, he said he was pleased with his library of quite a few good shots. Then one day he took a cracking shot. His joy was short-lived when he realised he now had a library of one good shot.

Hi everyone, I took this photo at the RSPB Saltholme reserve. Think it's a Marsh Tit but not sure. Can anyone identify it for me. It does look like one but my bird book doesn't show it as having speckled brown feathers.Thanks.Lizzie xx

I was casually watching tv last night when, in the middle of an add something caught my eye!! The cushions on the sofa!! I thought, ayup I recognised that design, and sure enough on rewind, pause photo captured on my mobile sent to Bex, my daughter and yes it's her work!!

A Mother Water Vole with a young one, never seen a young Water Vole before, let alone out in the open with it's Mother, I know it's the Mother I have pictures of it Suckling, I feel so privileged to have been there to see it happen :-)
