The free Photoshop Express works fine on a Chromebook, thought this may be of interest to anyone contemplating buying a Chromebook, it is run directly from the browser (no app to download) and is very fast (if you have a good fast broadband connection!) an upload from my Fujifilm X10 SD card via the Chromebook SD slot took just a couple of seconds, all the usual editing tools are available, once edited the image can be saved to a local disk, Flickr, Picasa, Facebook etc.

Thank you Glynis for a great day, the weather stayed dry, and it was well organised, shame more didn't attend, but never mind, for those who didn't make it, this is just one of the many birds we saw yesterday, thanks once again Glynis  :-)

First of all, this is the first time in weeks I've been able to get on this site without problems. Usually I've ended up losing patience ang giving up. Looking at some posts I see a lot of the most frequent posters (the so called cabal) seem to have given up too, which is a shame as the techies seem to be tackling the problems.I hope that comment doesn't turn out to be the kiss of death.

Another puzzle.  After successfully uploading a picture to my gallery, a second appeared rotated by 90 deg when uploaded; a third received an 'exceeded memory' or similar, error message and wouild not upload. Anyone else had this lately?Best regards,StevePS  The photo that wouldn't load before has loaded, but rotated 90deg.  I await developments.

We have recently bought large Lavender plants, and put them around one side of our little lawn.  There are some Aubretia plants too, and a collection of well established herbs and well loved perennial plants. For some reason the Starlings have taken to pecking off the new growth of Lavender and Aubretia and flying off with them.  They cannot be building nests now, and if they were, why Lavender?  They are making a real mess!Anyone have any idea why they are doing this?

HelloI was just wondering,  we over here in the UK have had forum posts on Robins (Ian's Idea) and now we have our "Tits" forum post, both of which have been very well supported by members.  What do you think if we invited our members from Foreign Climes, to submit photos from their own countries?

Has any member tested or bought a Chromebook yet? they have recently been released here in Sweden at a very attractive price (cheapest model £217), could be a very useful and lightweight addition to a photographers backpack, if you don't mind using the "cloud".Mike http://www.myfinepix.co.uk/competition/entry/597168

I know this forum is blessed with some fellow red heads, so an article in one of the Sunday rags has prompted me to ask the question......'Have you ever suffered abuse or discrimination because of the colour of your hair or are you one of those people who thinks it's fair game to take the mick out of Gingas (as it's just a bit of fun)?'Over 44 years I've morphed from a full on ginger with green eyes to a darker auburn.

Took this image about a year ago, (27th May 2012) , on returning home and viewing the image on my PC I noticed a black head shape peeping over the tree trunk (right hand side of image) looks a bit like the head of an eel! I have not posted previously because I have not been able to return to the site where the image was taken before yesterday (18th May 2013) on doing so I found the tree trunk still there with the other fungi in place but no sign of what could have produced the "eel head" now I pose the question for the fungi experts amongst the members what do you think it is?

After being so impressed with all the reviews of the x100 I have bought one. I agree with most I think its brillant! So much so I am now thinking of buying the wide angle lens. But I have never seen a users review, an opinion or  demonstration photo using the wide angle lens. There must be a lot of guys out there that can do that so lets have it. Is it worth the money or doesn't the camera need it

A pair of robins have decided to take up residence next door. Why they chose this spot when we're surrounded by woods and moorland is anyone's guess. They're not trusting enough to eat out of your hand, but aint moving despite my neighbours dog regularly walking up the path under the hose reel nest. It's almost opposite my bedroom window...The nest...

I have a USA to UK converter but not the other way around. Also I was violently ill last night. I have no idea what hit me and it came out of nowhere. I am a little better today but still feeling pretty weak. I will post up some photos when I have my stength back.

I seem to remember that photobox has had good recommendations.  I have used snappy snaps before but that involves getting off my bottom, going into town then taking the print to the person it is being given to.Any recommendations?
