I puzzled for ages at this in the thumbnail, enlarged it and still puzzled - 'til I read your caption. It looks like an old man who is asleep and who's eyes have become sunken, wearing a beard, and a spiky moustache. Extraordinary - and i am guessing it is a springer - as Cocker's have black noses (usually). Good photo.
