Hi Stuart, I like how the pier gives a focal point in the shot, but one thing is distracting me - the horizon is not level - sorry. The most critical point in a sea scape photo is a level horizon. Very easily fixed in post processing.

It's a pity, your photo is too spoilt by the horizon line, sorry but there are some rules you cannot avoid in photography and this one is very basic.. another one is the rule of third and, obviously, you don't respect it too.. are you a photo rebel ? .. ha ha..
