Hi
A good attempt at this technique.
It was essential to use an infra red filter with film but there are other ways to achieve the effect in digital form often with more control.
Don't forget composition in addition to any technique. I can not decide if the horizon is too high or too low but it is dividing the picture into two parts. I think more sky would be better.
Kind regards,
Chas.

thanks for that sunlight, i hadn't realised i'd entered this in the 'critique my photo' section, anyway i balanced the photo this way so the beach in the bottom right corner off set the clouds, the way I wanted it too.
p.s this is my biggest selling print so far.

Like it. Nice tones.

I like the stark quality of contrasting tones that you have achieved here - it seems to convey a huge feeling of depth, distance and space in the landscape. This is a very succesful landscape image IMO.

nice effect, I know it takes a lot of practice with infrared filters and you are doing better than me so any tips you can give would be appreciated. good shot, well done..

A really nice picture and good use of the IR filter. I have tried a few pics with the HS10 and IR filters myself but think I need a little more practice as they didn't end up as striking as yours. Well done with the scroller, well deserved.

This is a very effective technique, to my untrained eye very striking indeed and I like it!
When I get home for Christmas, I'll be getting a couple of filters, At the moment I have only a Circular Polariser, but looking at this IR is also on my wish list.
Thanks for sharing this very interesting shot and well deserved it is to be on the scroller.
Henry.
