Born in July 1934 went to Roundhay School Leeds - but family from Northumberland so spent most of my childhood summers on the sands or rocks at Cullercoats near the mouth of the Tyne. I also supported both Leeds and Newcastle Uniteds, so naturally I am interested in places that have had glorious pasts. My favourite photographic environments are Greece and Italy. I taught historical Geography at Poly then University of Sunderland ,before early retirement to do consultancy work for various local authorities and working from home in the wilds beyond Hadrians wall 1990-2001. Moved back to civilization to be near daughter and three grandchildren in Northamptonshire. With four airports to choose from can visit the many islands of the Med - so far tally is 24. Plus 19 in the Atlantic -North Sea & Baltic......
